Terms and conditions of the Fanimo Advantages program

Integration of the Fanimo Card into the Royal Rewards Program
The Fanimo Card is now an integral part of the Royal Rewards Program. This program introduces three levels of member status, each offering specific benefits and rewards.


Introduction to the Fanimo Card
The Fanimo Card allows eligible members (as defined below) to:
i) accumulate exchange units for every dollar spent in Animo etc. stores, and
ii) enjoy benefits and rewards, as detailed further below.

Animo Dollars points can be used free of charge to purchase products in Animo etc. stores.

By adhering to the Fanimo Card, the member agrees to comply with these general terms and conditions. In case of disagreement with these conditions, membership in the Royal Rewards Program will be refused.


Eligibility Conditions
Membership in the Fanimo Card is free, and no initial purchase is required.
To become a member, an individual must:

  • Be 16 years of age or older and a legal resident of Canada at the time of enrollment;

  • Accept these general terms and conditions;

  • Provide a valid email address.

Animo etc reserves the right to request photo identification (e.g., driver's license or health insurance card) to verify the member's eligibility. Membership is limited to one account per person.


Enrollment Procedure
Registration can be done in any Animo etc store. Once activated, the account will be valid for all in-store purchases. A unique membership number will be assigned. Members can also register online at animoetc.com.


Updating Personal Information
The Rewards Program respects the Privacy Policy.
It is the member's responsibility to keep their account information up to date. By providing this data, the member authorizes Animo etc and its affiliates to use it.

Members can modify their information online or ask an in-store advisor to update it. In this case, photo identification will be required for validation.


Use of the Fanimo Card

  • The Fanimo Card is not a credit card and remains the property of Animo etc.

  • Any reproduction of the card is prohibited without prior written authorization.

  • The card must be used in accordance with Animo etc's values.

Refusal of Membership
Animo etc may refuse membership if the member:

  • Does not follow registration procedures;

  • Provides incomplete or incorrect information;

  • Does not accept the general terms and conditions or the Privacy Policy.


In Case of Loss or Theft
The member must inform Animo etc immediately. Points accumulated on the lost or stolen card will be transferred to a new account, and the old one will be canceled. Animo etc cannot be held responsible for transactions made before the loss or theft is reported.


Membership Levels and Review
The Royal Rewards Program includes three statuses:

  • Bronze Crown: Base level, assigned upon membership or for annual spending less than $249.99.

  • Silver Crown: For annual spending between $250 and $699.99.

  • Gold Crown: For annual spending of $700 or more.


Accumulation and Redemption of Animo Dollars Points

Point Accumulation

  • Members accumulate points by presenting their Fanimo Card during purchases or by providing their membership number.

Point Redemption Rate

  • Bronze: 1% of the amount spent*

  • Silver: 1% of the amount spent*

  • Gold: 2% of the amount spent*
    (*Calculated on the net amount before taxes, after discounts are applied.)

Certain exclusive services and products do not allow point accumulation (e.g., gift cards, delivery fees, donations).

Point Redemption

  • Points can be used as a payment method in all Animo etc stores, but are not redeemable for cash.

  • Members retain their unused points for future transactions.


Additional Benefits
Depending on the member's status, exclusive promotional offers, donations convertible into points, and other rewards may be offered.


Non-compliance and Abuse
Animo etc reserves the right to remove points or limit program access in case of:

  • Attempted fraud or abuse of privileges;

  • Falsification of personal information;

  • Non-compliance with the general terms and conditions.

Animo Dollars have no monetary value outside of the program and cannot be transferred or sold.

Nail Clipping Services
Nail Clipping services are subject to the Booking Terms and Conditions available on the Animoetc.com website. By making a reservation for these services, the Member automatically agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Birthday Gift
Members subscribed to the newsletter may receive a birthday gift for their pet, depending on their membership status on the pet's birthday. This gift is not redeemable for cash.

Loyalty Program

Enjoy the loyalty benefits of the biggest food brands for your pets. No more cutting out barcodes or keeping receipts! After purchasing 12 bags, the 13th is free. A simple, practical, and fully automatic system. See the list of eligible suppliers on our website: Royal Rewards Program.

Each purchase remains valid for a period of 24 months from its purchase date. After this period, older purchases are automatically removed from your counter, but the others remain active and continue to accumulate until you receive your free bag.

12 + 1 Program

Buy 12 bags and get the 13th free – this is valid at all times, throughout the store (excluding food and items in the loyalty program).

Each purchase remains valid for a period of 24 months from its purchase date. After this period, older purchases are automatically removed from your counter, but the others remain active and continue to accumulate until you receive your free bag.


Modification, Termination, and Suspension of the Fanimo Card

Program Modifications
Animo etc reserves the right to unilaterally modify the following aspects of the Rewards Program:

  • Eligibility criteria;

  • Terms of accumulation, redemption, and calculation of points (both for rebate and redemption).

Any changes to the Terms and Conditions will be communicated to members by one of the following means:

  • Via the website Animoetc.com;

  • By written notice posted in store;

  • By email.

The notice will specify the nature of the change and its effective date. Members may refuse these modifications and terminate their membership without charge or penalty by sending a notice to that effect within 30 days of the changes taking effect. Continued use of the Program after this period will be considered tacit acceptance.

Termination by Animo etc
Animo etc may terminate a Member's membership or the Program as a whole at any time. 60 days' notice will be provided by one of the following means:

  • On the website Animoetc.com;

  • By email or postal mail;

  • By written notice in store.

A Member's membership may be immediately canceled without notice in case of non-compliance with these conditions.

Temporary Suspension of the Program
Animo etc may temporarily suspend the Program, without notice, in case of unforeseen circumstances such as a technical failure or an IT problem.

Termination by the Member
A Member may terminate their membership by sending a request by email to info@animoetc.com or directly in store. The account will be closed within 30 days. After termination, the Member will stop receiving communications related to the Program, but will continue to receive the newsletter and personalized offers.

Effects of Termination
Upon termination, the Member's account and unique card number will be canceled, as will any remaining Animo Dollars points balance (reset to zero).


Inactivity and Point Expiration

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Animo Dollars points may expire after two years of inactivity. In this case, Animo etc will send written notice at least 30 days before the expiration date, specifying the cause and date of point expiration.


Participation in Contests

By participating in the Program, Members irrevocably agree to their automatic inclusion in any contest organized by Animo etc or its partners, if this requires the use of their account. This consent does not oblige the Member to claim a potential prize.

No additional personal information will be collected or shared for these contests, except with the Member's express written authorization. Animo etc is committed to respecting the confidentiality of personal data.


Confidentiality

Animo etc protects Members' personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy available on Animoetc.com.


Newsletter and Personalized Offers

By joining the Program, the Member agrees to receive the newsletter as well as personalized marketing offers and communications. This includes:

  • Communications by email, phone, or postal mail;

  • Personalized content on Animo etc's website and social networks;

  • Product recommendations and tailored offers.


Indemnification and Limitation of Liability

The Member agrees to indemnify Animo etc against any claim or lawsuit related to their membership, services, or rewards obtained. In no event shall Animo etc, its administrators, employees, or representatives be liable for direct or indirect damages, including those resulting from modifications or cancellation of the Program.


General Provisions

All decisions by Animo etc relating to the Program are final and binding on all Members.

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Quebec and applicable federal laws.

In case of divergence between the French and English versions, the French version prevails.
